On the 24th of august 2014, Tab-bu Foundation made a donation to The Anfaani children’s home, an orphanage located in Tamale in the northern region of Ghana. Anfaani is home to infants and toddlers up to the age of three (3) who have lost their mothers during child birth . At the time of the donation, there were 7 children being housed and nursed there. The administrator of the home, Abdul Razak received the team at about 10:30am at the orphanage. A brief history about the home revealed that it was set up by Madam Fati Issaka, who was then a Chief Nursing Officer at the Tamale Regional Hospital (now Tamale Teaching Hospital) in the year 2000. It began operation in the year 2002. The home has a capacity of a maximum of 12 children at a time. According to Mr Razak, they depend solely on donations for the running of the place. The Tab-bu team spent some time babysitting. Items donated included baby diapers, clothing, shoes powdered soap and disinfectants. Management thanked Tab-bu Foundation for the kind gesture and said they looked forward to more support.
