As we continue our mission to uplift vulnerable communities, Tab-bu Foundation, in collaboration with EcoEmpower Alliance , organized a comprehensive sensitization campaign at Al Wafaa International School, a sanctuary for orphaned children in Tamale. The campaign focused on health awareness, environmental protection, and community empowerment, ensuring a meaningful and holistic impact.
The event addressed critical topics such as personal hygiene, climate change, and environmental protection. Students were educated on maintaining good health, the importance of tree planting, waste management, and how small actions can contribute to mitigating climate change.
To further support their education and well-being, the organizers distributed snacks and essential educational materials such as exercise books and pens. These resources aim to inspire and equip the children to actively pursue their education and apply the lessons learned during the campaign. Representatives from the Tab-bu Foundation expressed their commitment to integrating environmental sustainability with community development. By addressing both health and climate issues, “we ensure that children not only thrive today but are also equipped to protect their future.”
However, the event’s highlight was a motivational session where representatives encouraged the students to dream big and strive for excellence. Speakers urge the children to overcome challenges, prioritize education, and aim for greatness in their personal and professional lives. “Your background does not define your future,” one of the speakers emphasised. “With determination and the right mindset, you can achieve anything.”
The session aimed to instil confidence and hope, reminding them of their potential to create a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
The school’s management extended their heartfelt gratitude to the foundation and its partners for their thoughtful initiative. They acknowledged the profound impact of the materials and the educational sessions on the students’ lives.
